Time-limited or lifetime
Two access tiers per course — and why the time-limited one sells the lifetime one.
Two tiers, one course
Every course can be offered with time-limited and with lifetime access. The time-limited one is the cheaper entry, the lifetime one is the recommendation.
The reason is not technical but comparative
A single price has no yardstick. Put a second one beside it and the first becomes readable: six months at 49 euros against lifetime at 59 makes the ten-euro premium the obvious choice — and that choice is the entire purpose of the limit.
What happens on expiry
Access ends, the account stays. The course remains visible but no longer plays, and the path to extend sits where the user currently is. A reminder goes out before expiry — not as pressure, but so nobody hits a wall mid-lesson.
One check, not several
Whether someone may see a course is decided by the same question in exactly one place. Time-limited, lifetime or preview — there is no second path where a special rule could be forgotten.
