A course description can promise anything — the buyer's question is always the same: do I like how this person explains? No description answers that, only the thing itself.

So any lesson can be marked as a preview. It then plays without purchase and without an account, right on the course page.

Which one to pick

Not necessarily the first. The first lesson is often greeting and housekeeping — exactly what convinces nobody. Take the lesson where your way of working shows.

What it does to the protection

Nothing. The preview is a property of the individual lesson, not an exception in the access path. Every other lesson stays behind the same check as before.
