Use cases
Four situations in which your own course platform beats a portal or marketplace.
The trade business that already trains
A trades or consulting business trains anyway — staff, partners, customers. What is already being explained internally becomes a sellable course. The gain is less the course revenue than the hours nobody spends repeating the same explanation.
The trainer who wants out of the marketplace
Selling through a marketplace means not knowing your buyers and paying a share on every sale. With your own platform you keep both: the margin and the address list. The break-even is the point where the share handed over costs more than running it yourself.
The product that needs onboarding
Software, machines and goods that need explaining require instruction. A course that ships with the product cuts support cases and can be sold separately on top.
The association with proof requirements
Where training has to be evidenced, the certificate is what counts. Lyceum issues it on completion and makes it publicly verifiable — without the verifier needing an account.
