Deals & pipeline
What is a deal?
A deal is a concrete possible piece of business with a contact — such as “Website relaunch for Müller Ltd”. While a contact maps the relationship, a deal maps the individual undertaking. A contact can have several deals.
The pipeline as a board
The pipeline is the series of stages a deal passes through — from “New” through “Offer” to “Won” or “Lost”. Shown as a board with columns: each column a stage, each deal a card you drag onward with the mouse. So it's clear at a glance where every piece of business stands.
Value, probability, forecast
You give each deal a value and a closing probability. From this Formline calculates a preview of the expected revenue (forecast) — right in the board. You see not just how many deals are open, but what is realistically coming in.
Why this helps sales
Instead of “it's going somehow”, you have an honest overview: what's stuck where, where you need to follow up, what's coming this month. Sales becomes steerable instead of gut feeling.
