Updated
What you maintain in the backoffice instead of on the server, and what takes effect immediately.
Everything in one place
Brand and address, sender and transport for email, the Stripe credentials, the legal texts. No server access needed, no restart, no developer.
Effective at once, in the background too
A changed setting applies not only on the site but in the background worker as well. It fetches the configuration fresh before every job. Without that a changed sender would only apply after a restart, and nobody would know why mail still comes from the old address.
Sensitive values stay encrypted
Access keys and passwords sit encrypted in the database. A database dump contains no readable secrets.
Test mode first
Stripe has a test mode. Use it for the first complete purchase path: payment, confirmation email, access, lesson, before switching to live. A mistake in test mode costs nothing; the same mistake live costs a customer.
