Version history

Here we document the development of Mesa — new features, improvements and fixes. Each version appears as its own entry with a date.

Update 1.21: Progress tracking in entry editorA donut shows how complete an entry is, a table of contents jumps to the spot, and each tab lists its open fields.

Update 1.22: Field groups & a tidier editorFields can be arranged into named groups with colour and icon; they start collapsed and save up to 70 % of the scrolling per entry.

Update 1.23: Reminders & publish guardThe dashboard reminds you of everything that needs attention — and publishing checks the required fields first.

Update 1.24: Languages per entryAn entry can be limited to certain languages: a German-only article no longer shows up empty on the English site.

Update 1.25: Collaboration visible, locks bindingYou can see who is reading or working on an entry right now — and edit locks are now enforced on the server too.

Update 1.26: Document view & editor paritySingle pages get an A4-style document view, and the table of contents plus publish check now exist in every editor type.

Update 1.27: Kepler connectionConnect your Kepler in the settings; editors then pick from a list which form appears on a page.

Update 1.28: Version history rebuiltRestoring asks first and writes its own history entry — so every restore can itself be undone.

Update 1.29: Security — sign-in code & auditSigning in additionally requires a 6-digit code by email, and a security pass verified the tenant separation.

Update 1.30: Dashboard control roomThe welcome area shows your content pipeline, and every hint names the entry it is about.

Update 1.31: Visitor analytics without cookiesMesa now counts visits itself — no cookies, no Google, no consent banner. And every number is attached to the actual entry.

Update 1.32: Take your structure with you, link appointmentsA collection can be exported as a file and read back in elsewhere — fields and settings included, entries excluded.

Update 1.33: Reports, real load times and a live viewReporting now comes to you: a weekly email, an alert on traffic spikes — plus load times measured by real visitors.

Update 1.34: Credentials stored encryptedSensitive settings such as mail-server passwords no longer sit in the database as plain text — the existing ones included.

Update 1.35: Field roles, units and collection templatesA field now says not only how a value is stored but what it means — and new collections start out already grouped.

Update 1.36: Named alerts, history for everything, media with usagesEvery attention hint now names a concrete entry instead of just a count — and missed publications are a state of their own.

Update 1.37: One surface, one componentControls now sit on a toolbar instead of scattered across the page header, and the dashboard can actually be operated.
