Field groups: Mesa

Order fields instead of scrolling
As soon as a collection has more than a handful of fields, editing becomes tedious: everything sits in one long column, related things are scattered. Field groups solve that. You bundle fields into named sections such as “Header”, “Prices” or “SEO”.
Structure the editor understands
Each group can have a colour, icon and description. In the editor, groups appear as collapsible sections: editors see the structure first, not a desert of fields, and only open what they need. Table of contents and publish check follow the same structure.
Organising is delegable
Grouping is its own permission: you can give it to individual team members who arrange their input masks themselves, without being able to change the data model. Collections without groups look exactly as before; nothing needs migrating.
