Challenge
Tom Domanh had built a strong reputation in the German SFX scene through collaborations with HandOfBlood's Instinct3, RocketBeansTV's Game Two, Wueste Medien and Olivia Jones — but had no professional web presence to show for it. Potential clients from film productions, event organizers and agencies had no way to browse his portfolio, understand his services or request a project online.
Without a website, every new client inquiry depended on personal referrals or social media messages. There was no structured way to present past work, no booking workflow, and no system for Tom to manage content on his own. For an artist operating at a professional production level, the gap between craft quality and online presence was costing opportunities.
Solution
Gawenda Studio built a fully custom-coded website using Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS — no templates, no page builders. The design was crafted to match the cinematic, dark aesthetic of Tom's SFX work, with custom SVG illustrations for icons, decorative elements and trust badges.
All dynamic content — projects, testimonials, FAQs and service descriptions — is managed through Synapse CMS, hosted on a dedicated backend under cms.domanh-sfx.com. Tom can add new projects, update descriptions and manage testimonials without any developer involvement.
A custom multi-step project request form was built to guide potential clients through a structured booking process — capturing project type, timeline, budget expectations and creative requirements before any call happens. The site also integrates Cal.com for direct consultation scheduling.
The entire project was scoped, designed, developed and launched within 3 weeks — including content structure, CMS collections, SVG asset creation and deployment pipeline.
Results
Tom Domanh now has a professional web presence that matches the production quality of his SFX work. The website serves as his primary portfolio, booking channel and credibility anchor for clients ranging from indie film productions to major German creator networks.
With Synapse CMS, Tom manages all project entries, testimonials and service content independently. New case studies from productions like Kinescope Film or RocketBeansTV can be added in minutes — with images, descriptions, tags and metadata — without contacting a developer.
The structured project request form pre-qualifies inquiries before they reach Tom, reducing back-and-forth communication and ensuring only serious production requests come through. The site positions Domanh SFX as a professional production partner rather than a freelance hobbyist.
“I can add a new project with photos and all the details in five minutes — without calling anyone. That alone was worth it.”
